We based our print series (3) on a simple yet really powerful insight. When travelling, seamless and secure payment and transactions in general are a key to experiences, yet nobody seems to notice. Instead of presenting the card as this miraculous portal to joy and memories, we decided to accept this reality. Mastercard is the only thing you won't remember from your travels and that's just right. Rather than the card or phone, we present an insightful collage of train tickets, analog pictures and souvenirs (all of which had to be paid for) that really get into your heart and become a priceless memory. Mastercard takes the credit silently by embracing that, thanks to its convenience, it is most probably the most forgettable thing about the trip, but also the one that made it possible in the first place. Because the things that are the most crucial ones, thanks to their simplicity and convenience, are often the ones we forget, left unnoticed because we are so used to them. Like the sunglasses that you search for for 5 minutes only to discover they're right on your nose. We also believe that our print series perfectly fits under the strategic umbrella of the concept of Priceless, not focusing on the payment or card itself, but rather showing the emotion, memories and joy. Mastercard in our series is exactly this hidden hero. In the series, we were insightfully working with a series of travel experiences, cultures and places, such as Sziget, a popular music festival in Budapest (where a lot of our Czech friends partied this year), or a Japanese 'goshuin' stamp from Shinto shrines (that we saw on TikTok), to Vermut de Grifo (I've read about in ELLE) on the receipt from a night out in Barcelona. Thanks to this cultural, aesthetic (taking inspiration from the popular scrap journaling and widespread analog nostalgia) and experience oriented insightfulness, we believe that the concept is easily scalable, localised and therefore relevant for young travellers.
