When we travel, we don’t just discover new places. We discover new sides of ourselves. Away from routines, expectations and the people who already know us, something shifts. We feel freer to let go, follow an impulse and do things we might never consider at home. The HR director gets the tattoo she has always secretly wanted. The PhD candidate who never goes to parties ends up doing shots in Ibiza. The serious professional finds herself singing karaoke like nobody is watching. Suddenly, the person everyone thinks they know reveals a completely unexpected side. Because travel doesn’t turn us into someone else. It gives us the freedom to meet the versions of ourselves that were already there, waiting for the right moment to come out. The bolder one. The spontaneous one. The playful one.
