Fuck-ups are worldwide
Creative idea
The brief says Gen Z wants paying to be efficient and simple. But we think it's way deeper than that. It's about the way young people travel. More precisely, about how they (don't) plan. They fly for a weekend. They buy tickets last minute. They go where the cheap flight goes. They catch the last train. But let's be honest. The less you plan, the more can go wrong. The wrong flight. The unreliable host. The train leaving right in front of you. Spontaneity has its price. And when it comes to paying, Mastercard takes the stage. Accepted in more than 220 countries and territories (1), this reliable travel buddy has your back wherever and whenever the trip falls apart. Simply and efficiently. Young people use their mobile devices more than anything when it comes to managing their trips. They book tickets, check the map, chat with their friends, with a host, with AI, all on a small, irreplaceable device. That's why, for our work, we chose the interface that is natural to them. Two posters represent two travel complications: a friend who booked the wrong flight and a host who goes quiet at midnight. Gen Z knows how it feels to be left on 'seen'. So we want them to feel seen. And show that unpredictable situations are totally normal while travelling. Yet they are easier to handle with Mastercard by their side. Or, as Gen Z would put it, fuck-ups are worldwide. So is Mastercard.
