Travel Like a Tourist. Pay Like a Local.
Creative idea
You are in a pastry shop in Paris. You go to the cashier and confidently say “un croissant, s’il vous plaît”. The lady replies with “Great, anything else for you?”. She knows you are a tourist. Because being a tourist… well, it’s obvious. Not only when you mispronounce something, but also when you go around town wearing the country’s flag on a tote bag. Take 196 photos of a random sign on the street because it looks aesthetic. Take a tuk-tuk instead of the metro. Or pose in front of a monument as if you are holding it. Long story short, when in a foreign country, you are a tourist in many ways. Including payment. Is it safe to use your card at the small, slightly shady non-stop? What currency are you charged in? Are there any extra fees or taxes? Small questions, yet enough to interrupt the experience. But what if they don’t? Presenting “Travel Like a Tourist. Pay Like a Local”. A Mastercard promise that makes paying abroad feel as effortless as it does at home. So you can spend less time thinking about the safety of your money and more time experiencing the place you are visiting. Regardless of whether you are trying a mămăligă in Romania, riding a bullet train in Japan for the first time, posing in front of the pyramids in Egypt, or any other way to be a tourist, unique for each country. Because it’s not enough for the trip to make it out of the group chat. Having freedom to enjoy every moment, even the unplanned ones, and feeling like you belong somewhere far from home… isn’t that what makes travelling priceless?
