The Forgotten Rooster
Creative idea
In France, every international athlete wears the rooster over their heart and holds an official player card. In 1982, the women who played the first women's rugby international were denied both — the Federation ruled rugby wasn't their sport. For 44 years they lived in a void: no emblem, no status, no recognition. So we gave them everything they were denied — officially, not symbolically. We recreated their 1982 jersey, rooster embroidered over their hearts. The FFR issued their official player cards. The State awarded them the Youth and Sports Medal. Not a campaign. An institutional correction. Forgotten players, now official legends.
