In the Czech Republic, ice hockey is one of the few things that truly brings the whole nation together. Everyone is welcome to show their support for the national team, unless they look different. Ahead of the Winter Olympics, Visa transformed its slogan ‘We Stand Behind You’ into the first Czech ice hockey anthem. Performed by Ben Cristovao – who himself doesn’t look like a ‘typical Czech fan’ – the anthem became a powerful gesture of support for everyone involved in Czech sport, regardless of their background or appearance.
