Signs of Inclusion: Money on hand!
Creative idea
To promote financial literacy among deaf, we transformed the Sign Language Financial Dictionary into an immersive live content medium: Money on Hand!, the first inclusive theatrical comedy about finance. By removing interpreters, the play placed both hearing and deaf audiences into a shared context of initial non-comprehension. Through visual storytelling, physical humor, and sign language, deaf and hearing creators together transformed abstract concepts like loans and savings into a shared live experience. The performance extended the Signs of Inclusion digital ecosystem into an integrated live cultural experience where deaf and hearing audiences engaged with financial content as equals.
